Even if you love,  if just ignored,  love will  pass away.

Even if you care,  if just taken for granted,   care will  fade away.

Even if you smile,  if all you see is a frown,  soon you forget how to smile.

Even if you forgive,  if the other keeps on destroying you,  the hurt remains.

Even if you laugh,  if there is no one to laugh with,  it becomes silence.

Even if you cry,  if there is no shoulder to lean on,  soon you cry no more.

Even if you help,  if the other just exploit on you,  desire to help disappear.

Even if you embrace,  if the other is cold,  soon you disengage.

                                                       

Even if you dream,  if the other is not there,  soon you leave dreamland.

Even if you desire,  if you are not desired,  the desire cools off.

Even if you want,  if you are not wanted, the want ends with a tear.

Even if you need,  if you are not needed, soon you accept the fact.

Even if you miss,  if you are not missed at all,  miss become remiss.

Even if you love,  if you are not loved,  soon you forget all about love.

If all you get is a total,  deafening silence,  soon silence becomes your world.

Soon darkness becomes your darkness even if there is light.
